7th Pay Commission Big Update: Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country, the Government of India is contemplating to give an increase in the payment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to the Central Government employees. A large number of government employees and pensioners who are in lakhs are waiting for the increase in Dearness Relief (DR).

7th Pay Commission: Increase in DA

Earlier in the month of January 2020, DA was increased by 4 percent. Another hike in dearness pay was 3 per cent in the month of July 2020 and it has been increased again in January 2021. But this regular growth came to a halt. to pandemic. Now it is expected to increase again to 3 per cent in the month of July 2021, but due to Covid-19 circumstances, the delay and then Central Government employees will get 31 per cent from September 2021. In other words, 17+4+3+4+3 is going to be the sequence.

7th Pay Commission: Delay in DA hike

The decision to give an additional 3 per cent hike was taken recently in a high level meeting held on 26 June 2021. Members of the Ministry of Finance, the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery and the Department of Personnel have participated. After the high-end meeting. Another clarification was given that as per the minutes of the high-end meeting held, no arrears would be paid from January 01, 2021 to June 30, 2021.

7th Pay Commission: Salary hike

After the issue of DA and DR is resolved in the 7th Pay Commission, the salary of the central government employees will also be increased and we will come back to normalcy as soon as the situation of Kovid-19 is under control.
