in dots rummy
Each card in a rummy game contains one
specific point and they are calculated as follows:
- J, Q, K, A cards of each color contain 10 points each.
- Numbered cards contain points on the face value, i.e. H. A card with number 2 contains 2 points, a card with number 8 contains 8 points and so on.
- Jokers hold zero in an Indian rummy game.
- As soon as a game ends, the losing player’s hand is calculated by adding up the points of each remaining card that is not part of a set or sequence. However, there are certain exceptions:
- If a player could not even form a single sequence, each card is counted.
- If a player has not created two sequences, but has managed a pure sequence, only the pure sequence is excluded.
- The maximum number of points a player can collect is 80. Therefore, if the total number of points exceeds 80, the player will still only receive a maximum of 80 points. However, if a player has less than 80 points, for example 60 points, their total points will only be considered 60 points.
- If a player misses 3 consecutive rounds, that player will be removed from the game with an average drop of 40 points.
