National Testing Agency on Wednesday started the online application process for NEET UG 2021 on its official website. Interested candidates can visit the official website of NTA NEET at to submit the application form.

NEET UG 2021 is scheduled to be held on 12 September. The exam will be held in 198 cities across the country.

To be eligible for NEET (UG) – 2021, candidates need to mention the following for the qualifying examination criteria.

Code: 01

A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., class 12th in 2021, whose result is awaited, can apply and appear in the examination, but will not be eligible for admission to undergraduate medical courses if he does not qualify the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of counselling.

Candidates who have appeared or appearing in the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects and are expected to qualify the examination with the requisite percentage of marks may also appear in the competitive entrance examination. are eligible to apply and appear. However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of passing the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks.

Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after 12 years of study, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology in the last two years of such study will include practical tests) and any other elective subject with Mathematics or English not less than the core curriculum for English, as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of 10+2+3 academic courses. If the institute is to consider the examination of an Indian University or a foreign/university equivalent to 12th class under 10+2 scheme/Intermediate Science For the examination, candidates will have to produce a certificate from the concerned Indian University / Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination passed by them is considered equivalent to class 12th under 10+2 Scheme / Intermediate Science Examination.

Intermediate/Pre-Degree examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examination body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject .

Pre-Professional/Pre-Medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English after passing Higher Secondary Examination or Pre-University or equivalent examination. The Pre-Professional/Pre-Medical Examination will consist of practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

The first year of a three-year degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology consisting of practical tests in these subjects, provided the examination is a University examination and the candidate has passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Have passed the earlier qualifying examination with. B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided he/she has passed B.Sc. Any other examination which in scope and standard (last 02 years of 10+2 study of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, which shall include practical examination in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University . / Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English.

Provided that in order to be eligible for NEET (UG) – 2021, a candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology together Must have secured minimum 50% marks. In the qualifying examination as mentioned in the regulations of NMC and DCI. Also, they must have secured a rank in the merit list of NEET (UG) – 2021 for admission to undergraduate medical courses.

In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in the qualifying examination together with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for unreserved and Will be General-EWS candidates. In respect of PWBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology)/ Biotechnology shall be 40% instead of 50%.

Provided that students who have received education abroad and wish to take admission in medical colleges in India must have passed class 12 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English and their equivalent To be prescribed by the Association of Indian Universities.
