Indian Navy Job Roles and Responsibilities MR

  • Chef – They will assign the task of preparing/cooking food as per the menu (they have to cook both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food).
  • The Manager – They have to do the work of serving food in the officer’s mess as a waiter / housekeeping / accounting of funds / preparing wine / stores menu etc.

Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed their matriculation examination or 10th examination from a board of school education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

Age Range

The age limit as mentioned by the Indian Navy for the matriculation recruitment is 17 to 20 years. Candidates should be born between 01 April 2001 to 30 September 2004 (both dates inclusive).

(d) Tattoos: Permanent body tattoos are allowed only on the inner face of the forearm i.e. from the inside of the elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm/back of the hand (dorsal).

Indian Navy MR Selection Process

The selection will be made through a medical examination followed by a written examination and a physical fitness test. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their percentage in 10th examination. Due to COVID-19, around 1750 candidates will be called for written test and PFT and 450 candidates will be provided with call letter for medical examination.

Written exam

(a) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
(b) The question paper will have two sections i.e. Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
(c) The standard of question paper will be of 10th standard and the syllabus for the examination is available on the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
(d) The duration of the examination will be 30 minutes.
(e) All the candidates appearing in the written test will be subjected to PFT on the same day

physical fitness test

  • 1.6 km race to be completed in 7 minutes
  • 20 squats (stand up)
  • 10 push-ups

Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection for Medical Examination.

Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2021. Steps to Apply for

  1. Visit the official website of Indian Navy www.joinindiannavy.gov.in or directly click on the above link which will be activated soon.
  2. Complete the registration process with a valid email address.
  3. Now ‘Log-in’ with the registered e-mail ID.
  4. A new page appears on the screen, click on “Current Opportunity”
  5. Click on “Apply” button
  6. Fill the application form and scan the original documents carefully.

Indian Navy MR Training

Training for the course will commence with 12 weeks of basic training at INS Chilka in October 2021, followed by vocational training in the allotted trade at various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/Business will be allotted as per service requirement. Initial engagement is subject to successful completion of training. Initial engagement MR. for a period of 15 years

Indian Navy MR Pay Scale

During the initial training period of 12 weeks, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be provided to the selected candidates. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of Defense Pay Matrix and will be paid Rs. salary will be given. 21,700- Rs. 69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP of Rs. 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable)
