On the 20th of July after a loan of six months agreement with his previous team Racing, De Paul was transferred to Italian Udinese, a Serie A club. Udinese.

On May 9, 2014 the news was released on 9 May 2014 that Valencia CF agreed to a $6.5 million deal to sign De Paul with Racing. De Paul signed a five-year contract for Los Che Los Che on 6 June and was made La Liga debut on 23 August, taking over Paco Alcacer, who was injured in the 65th minutes of the 1-1 draw at home with Sevilla FC, but being dismissed just a minute later for hitting Aleix Vidal.
